Audiolab

Audiolab

Audiolab was established in the early 1980s by Philip Swift and Derek Scotland, and quickly built a reputation for high-performance audio electronics combining engineering rigour with straightforward, practical design. The brand's 8000A integrated stereo amplifier became one of the most successful British amplifiers ever produced, noted for its reliability, ease of use, and engineering excellence.

Audiolab operates under what the company describes as a no-nonsense, evolutionary approach to design — developing products that prioritise transparent sound reproduction and intuitive ergonomics rather than superficial styling. This philosophy has guided successive generations of electronics, from the 8200 Series introduced in 2010 through to the compact LAB Series components, the 8300 Series designed under Jan Ertner, and the 6000 Series launched in 2018.

Since 2010, Audiolab has won more major awards in UK hi-fi publications than any other brand in its category. Today the company sits within the International Audio Group (IAG) and produces a range of CD players, DACs, integrated amplifiers, network streamers, and phono stages designed to deliver high-end performance at accessible price points.
