WEEE Recycling
The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive requires that all electrical and electronic equipment is collected, treated, and recycled responsibly at the end of its useful life.
Your Obligation as a Consumer
Under the WEEE Regulations, you must not dispose of electrical or electronic equipment in your general household waste. Items such as televisions, amplifiers, speakers, projectors, and other AV equipment must be recycled appropriately.
How We Can Help
When you purchase a new electrical product from us, we will take back your old equivalent item for recycling on a like-for-like basis. Simply contact us at the time of purchase to arrange collection or drop-off.
You can also take unwanted electrical items to your local Household Waste Recycling Centre (HWRC). To find your nearest centre, visit recyclenow.com.
Why Recycling Matters
- Electrical equipment contains valuable materials that can be recovered and reused
- Improper disposal can release hazardous substances into the environment
- Recycling reduces the need for virgin raw materials and lowers carbon emissions
