The Pro-Ject T1 Evo is the second-generation entry point to Pro-Ject's renowned T-series turntables, refining the original T1 with a host of audiophile-grade upgrades while keeping operation as simple as possible. Hand-built in Europe, the T1 Evo is designed for new vinyl enthusiasts who want a true hi-fi turntable straight out of the box, with no fiddly setup required.
The plinth is CNC-machined from a single piece of wood and finished in a striking gloss white lacquer, free of plastic parts and hollow cavities for a low-resonance foundation. A heavy 8mm sand-blasted glass platter rotates on an ultra-precise 0.001mm main bearing with a hardened stainless-steel axle and brass bushing, driven by a belt-decoupled motor for smooth, stable speed. Unlike the original T1, speed changes between 33 and 45 RPM are handled electronically by a switch on the side of the plinth, so there is no need to move the belt by hand.
The 8.6-inch tonearm is a one-piece aluminium design with an integrated headshell, eliminating the additional joints and screwed-on headshells that compromise rigidity in cheaper rivals. It comes pre-fitted and pre-aligned with an Ortofon OM10 moving-magnet cartridge featuring an elliptical diamond stylus, plus Pro-Ject's own semi-symmetrical Connect it E phono cables hard-wired to the chassis. Connect the supplied RCA leads to any moving-magnet phono input and the T1 Evo is ready to play.
Supplied complete with a hinged dust cover and felt mat, the T1 Evo Gloss White combines a clean Scandinavian aesthetic with the rich, lively sound Pro-Ject is known for. Also available in Gloss Black and Walnut to suit any room.
