Description
Hi-Fi Engineering at an Accessible Price
The Pro-Ject T1 EVO Phono is an entry-level belt-drive turntable that delivers genuine audiophile performance without the need for a separate phono preamplifier. Designed and manufactured in Europe, it features a built-in switchable phono/line preamplifier, making it easy to connect directly to any amplifier or active speaker whether or not it has a phono input. Available in a warm Walnut finish, it is a visually distinctive choice as well as an accomplished performer.
Premium Build, No Compromises
The T1 EVO Phono is built around a precision CNC-machined plinth with no plastic parts and no hollow cavities, ensuring effective resonance control throughout the chassis. The heavy 8mm blasted-glass platter is a zero-resonance design that outperforms the plastic or lightweight steel platters found on similarly priced alternatives. Purpose-chosen vibration-absorbing feet decouple the turntable from the surface it sits on, further reducing the effects of ambient vibrations on playback quality.
Audiophile Tonearm and Cartridge
A straight, 8.6-inch one-piece aluminium tonearm with an integrated headshell and low-friction bearings ensures precise stylus tracking across the entire record surface. The T1 EVO Phono is factory-fitted with an Ortofon OM 10 moving magnet cartridge, featuring an elliptical diamond stylus tip. This is a genuine hi-fi cartridge, pre-adjusted at the factory so the turntable arrives ready to play with no setup guesswork required.
Built-in Switchable Phono Preamplifier
The integrated phono preamplifier can be switched between phono output (for amplifiers with a dedicated phono input) and line output (for amplifiers or active speakers without a phono stage). An electronic speed-change mechanism lets you switch between 33 and 45 RPM with ease, without the need to manually move the belt. The included low-capacitance RCA cable allows wired connection to any amplifier or active speaker.
Ready to Play, Made in Europe
The T1 EVO Phono comes complete with a dustcover with adjustable hinges, felt mat, power supply, and a low-capacitance RCA cable. Available in High-Gloss Black, Satin White, and Walnut finishes. All T1 EVO turntables are hand-built in Europe, reflecting Pro-Ject's commitment to quality control and long-term reliability.
