Description
Hi-Fi Engineering Meets Built-In Phono Preamp
The Pro-Ject T1 EVO Phono is an entry-level belt-drive turntable that combines genuine audiophile construction with a built-in, switchable phono preamplifier. Designed and manufactured in Europe, it delivers true high-fidelity vinyl playback and connects directly to any amplifier or active speaker with a line-level input, with no external phono stage required.
Premium Build, No Compromises
The T1 EVO Phono is built around a precision CNC-machined plinth with no plastic parts and no hollow cavities, ensuring effective resonance control throughout the chassis. The heavy 8mm blasted-glass platter is a zero-resonance design that outperforms the plastic or lightweight steel platters found on similarly priced alternatives. Purpose-chosen vibration-absorbing feet decouple the turntable from the surface it sits on, further reducing the effects of ambient vibrations on playback quality.
Audiophile Tonearm and Cartridge
A straight, 8.6-inch one-piece aluminium tonearm with an integrated headshell and low-friction bearings ensures precise stylus tracking across the entire record surface. The T1 EVO Phono is factory-fitted with an Ortofon OM 10 moving magnet cartridge, featuring an elliptical diamond stylus tip. This is a genuine hi-fi cartridge, pre-adjusted at the factory so the turntable arrives ready to play with no setup guesswork required.
Switchable Built-In Phono Preamp
The integrated, switchable phono preamplifier allows the T1 EVO Phono to connect directly to any amplifier or powered speaker with a standard line-level input, bypassing the need for a separate phono stage. Switch the preamp off and use the RCA phono output with your existing phono stage whenever you prefer. An electronic speed-change mechanism lets you switch between 33 and 45 RPM with ease, without the need to manually move the belt.
Ready to Play, Made in Europe
The T1 EVO Phono comes complete with a dustcover with adjustable hinges, felt mat, power supply, and a high-quality phono/line RCA cable. Available in High-Gloss Black, Satin White, and Walnut finishes. All T1 EVO turntables are hand-built in Europe, reflecting Pro-Ject's commitment to quality control and long-term reliability.
