Fibre Glass Woven Polypropylene Drivers
At the heart of the Speaker Box 5 E is a 5-inch woven fibre glass bass and midrange driver, chosen for its combination of stiffness, low mass, and controlled damping. A 1-inch silk dome tweeter handles high frequencies, offering smooth and fatigue-free treble reproduction. The crossover network has been optimised to integrate both drivers seamlessly across the frequency range of 68Hz to 20kHz.
Bass Reflex Enclosure
The Speaker Box 5 E uses a rear-firing bass reflex port tuned to extend low-frequency output beyond what its compact dimensions might suggest. The well-braced MDF cabinet is finished to a consistent standard across all colour options, with a removable front grille for those who prefer a clean, driver-forward presentation.
Practical Installation Features
A keyhole wall-mount slot is integrated into the rear panel, allowing the Speaker Box 5 E to be used as a wall-mounted solution as well as on a bookshelf or dedicated speaker stand. Bi-wire and bi-amp-capable binding posts accept banana plugs, spades, or bare wire, and the 4-ohm nominal impedance makes the speaker compatible with the majority of stereo integrated amplifiers.

The Speaker Box 5 E was conceived alongside Pro-Ject's Stereo Box and Juke Box amplifier range, making it a natural partner for building a compact and cohesive hi-fi system. It handles between 10 and 140 watts of programme material, giving it the flexibility to scale from budget to mid-range amplification.
