WiiM Sound Wireless Speaker Black

The WiiM Sound is a wireless smart speaker from WiiM that combines a Hi-Res streaming engine, a precision two-way driver array, AI room correction, and a 1.8 inch round touch display in a compact, minimalist enclosure. It sits in WiiM's all-in-one speaker range alongside the more affordable WiiM Sound Lite, and complements the brand's WiiM Amp, WiiM Pro and WiiM Ultra streamers.

Hi-Res Audio and Two-Way Driver Array

WiiM Sound supports gapless playback up to 24-bit/192 kHz and reproduces a stated 50 Hz to 20 kHz frequency range. A 100 watt peak amplifier drives a 4 inch long-throw paper-cone woofer (50W) and two 1 inch silk-dome tweeters (2 x 25W), divided by a precision two-way crossover at 2.4 kHz. The result is a balanced sound with tight mid-bass and smooth, extended treble in a single compact enclosure.

AI RoomFit Calibration

One-tap AI RoomFit calibration optimises the speaker's response for the room and placement, with both automatic and assisted modes. On-device Quick EQ provides instant tonal tweaks, while the WiiM Home app offers presets and full custom EQ, with independent settings for Wi-Fi/Ethernet, Bluetooth, and the Aux input.

1.8 inch Round Touch Display

A glass-covered 1.8 inch high-resolution round touch display sits at the front of the speaker. It shows album art, track information, time and date in standby, and provides direct control of playback, volume, source, Quick EQ, presets, groups, and RoomFit. The display also shows VU meters, queue, presets, customisable wallpapers, and walks the user through initial setup and over-the-air firmware updates. Capacitive touch buttons on the top of the speaker handle play/pause, volume up/down, and track skip.

Open Streaming Platform

Streaming is handled through the WiiM Home app or directly via Google Cast, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, Alexa Cast, DLNA, Roon and LMS. The speaker can join WiiM, Google Cast, and Alexa multi-room groups for synchronised playback throughout the home, and works with Alexa or Google Assistant via compatible devices.

Stereo Pair and Home Cinema

Two WiiM Sound speakers can be paired wirelessly for true left/right stereo. Adding a WiiM Sub Pro brings deeper, calibrated bass, and the speaker can be combined with compatible WiiM components as centre or surround channels for an immersive home cinema setup.

Connectivity

Wireless inputs are Wi-Fi 6E (802.11 b/g/n/ax, tri-band 2.4/5/6 GHz) and Bluetooth 5.3 (with both receiver and transmitter modes, supporting SBC, AAC, and LC3). Wired inputs are 100 Mbps Ethernet and a 3.5mm Aux input. The speaker uses a universal 100 to 240V AC power supply with energy-efficient standby and OTA firmware updates.
