The WiiM Mini sits at the entry point of WiiM's streaming range, offering a remarkably compact way to add wireless streaming to any existing hi-fi system or pair of powered speakers. Despite its diminutive 69mm-square footprint, the Mini packs a TI Burr-Brown PCM5121 DAC capable of decoding hi-res audio up to 24-bit/192kHz, delivering a signal-to-noise ratio of 106dB and THD+N of just 0.0025% (-92dB).
Streaming & Connectivity
The WiiM Mini supports an extensive roster of streaming services including Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Amazon Music, Qobuz, Deezer, TuneIn, iHeartRadio, SoundCloud, Napster, Pandora, Radio Paradise and Calm Radio. Apple AirPlay 2 is built in for seamless streaming from iOS and macOS devices, and Chromecast support is available via the WiiM Home app. Voice control is supported through both Amazon Alexa and Siri integration.
Audio Outputs & Inputs
Two audio outputs are provided: a 3.5mm analogue stereo jack and an optical digital (S/PDIF Toslink) output, allowing connection to amplifiers, active speakers, DACs or AV receivers. A 3.5mm AUX input is also included for connecting a CD player, turntable with built-in phono stage, or other analogue source. The Mini connects to your network via dual-band Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, 2.4GHz and 5GHz), and Bluetooth 5.0 with SBC and AAC codec support provides an additional wireless input.
Multi-Room Audio
Multiple WiiM devices can be grouped for synchronised multi-room playback through the WiiM Home app. The Mini also integrates with AirPlay 2 multi-room groups, allowing it to play in sync with other AirPlay 2-compatible speakers throughout your home. A built-in microphone enables automatic latency calibration to ensure precise synchronisation between grouped devices.
App Control & Audio Processing
The WiiM Home app provides full control over playback, device grouping and settings. A 10-band graphic equaliser is included for fine-tuning the sound to suit your room and preferences. The Mini supports gapless playback across all major lossless and lossy codecs including FLAC, ALAC, WAV, AIFF, APE, AAC, MP3, WMA and OGG.
