The WiiM CI MOD A80 is part of WiiM's professional Custom Install range, a dedicated line of streaming hardware engineered for integration into managed AV systems. It pairs the network platform familiar from the WiiM Pro and WiiM Amp with a compact, rack-friendly chassis intended for installer specification rather than retail self-fit, and is supplied through trade channels.
Amplification and Conversion
Amplification is provided by a Texas Instruments TPA3255 Class D output stage, rated at 60W per channel into 8 ohms or 120W per channel into 4 ohms. Digital-to-analogue conversion uses an ESS Sabre ES9018K2M, with a quoted signal-to-noise ratio of 108 dB and THD+N of -95 dB measured at 5W into 8 ohms.
Connectivity
Wireless connectivity covers tri-band Wi-Fi 6E across 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz, plus Bluetooth 5.3 with BLE. Wired inputs comprise an analogue RCA pair, an optical Toslink digital input, an HDMI ARC input for direct television audio, and a USB-A port for storage or USB audio. A line-level subwoofer output and a pair of binding-post speaker terminals complete the rear panel.
Streaming and Control
The CI MOD A80 supports Chromecast Audio, DLNA, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Amazon Music Casting, QPlay 2.0 and Roon. The WiiM Home app provides access to Spotify, Amazon Music, Deezer, TuneIn, TIDAL, Qobuz, SoundCloud, Pandora, iHeartRadio, vTuner, Napster, BBC Radio and other services. For installer use, the unit integrates with Control4, RTI, URC and Josh.ai control platforms.
Tuning and EQ
Built-in tuning includes per-source EQ assignment, 24 genre presets, a 10-band graphic equaliser and a 10-band parametric equaliser, alongside the room correction tools available in the WiiM Home app.
