The WiiM Amp and Klipsch CS-16 C II bundle brings together a full-featured streaming amplifier and a pair of 6.5-inch in-ceiling speakers in a single, competitively priced package. It is designed for anyone who wants discreet, high-quality music throughout a room without the complexity of a full custom-install project.
What's in the Bundle
The WiiM Amp is a Class D streaming amplifier delivering 60 watts per channel into 8 ohm loads, rising to 120 watts per channel at 4 ohms. It accepts physical connections via HDMI ARC, optical digital, RCA analogue, and USB-A, and connects wirelessly over Wi-Fi or two-way Bluetooth. Streaming services supported include AirPlay 2, Chromecast Audio, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Amazon Music, Deezer, Qobuz, TuneIn, and DLNA. A dedicated subwoofer RCA output is provided for bass extension. The WiiM Home app handles setup, source switching, multiroom grouping, and EQ.
The Klipsch CS-16 C II is a two-way in-ceiling speaker built around a 165 mm (6.5-inch) polymer woofer and a 25 mm polymer dome tweeter. It is rated at 8 ohms and handles 40 watts RMS, with a sensitivity of 91 dB at 2.83 V/1 m. The ABS baffle and infinite baffle enclosure design allows installation directly into standard plasterboard ceilings without a separate back box (though a fire-rated enclosure is available separately). A white paintable magnetic grille is included, and the speaker front can be painted to match any ceiling colour. The patented Sky Hook installation system secures the speaker from the front, removing the need for rear access. This bundle includes one pair of CS-16 C II speakers.
Connectivity and Streaming
The WiiM Amp supports an exceptionally broad range of streaming protocols, making it compatible with virtually any smartphone, tablet, or computer in a household. AirPlay 2 supports multi-room sync with other AirPlay 2 devices; Chromecast Audio integrates with Google Cast ecosystems; Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, and Qobuz allow playback without keeping a device's screen on. DLNA enables access to music libraries on network-attached storage. The HDMI ARC port allows the bundle to serve as a speaker-based TV sound upgrade, routing television audio through the ceiling speakers.
Sound Shaping
The WiiM Home app provides 24 EQ presets, a 10-band graphic equaliser adjustable per source input, and a 4-band parametric EQ for room correction. High-resolution audio formats are supported up to 24-bit/192 kHz, covering FLAC, ALAC, AIFF, WAV, and APE files alongside standard formats including MP3, AAC, OGG, and WMA. The Klipsch CS-16 C II has a rated frequency range of 65 Hz to 20 kHz (+/-3 dB), suitable for music and general background audio in small to medium-sized rooms.
Installation
The CS-16 C II requires a 203 mm circular cut-out in the ceiling. Mounting depth is 99 mm. The Sky Hook system uses spring-loaded clamps that grip the ceiling material from the front during tightening. Speaker cable runs connect directly to the WiiM Amp's binding posts on the rear panel. The WiiM Amp requires a standard UK mains socket and a Wi-Fi network or Ethernet connection.
