The Diamond 12.3i is the larger floorstander in Wharfedale's updated DIAMOND 12i Series, sitting between the slimmer Diamond 12.2i floorstander and the flagship Diamond 12.4i in the range. It builds on the long-running DIAMOND 12 Series introduced in 2020, adding modern finishes and subtle acoustic refinements while keeping the engineering principles that made the original a long-standing reference at its price point.

The 12.3i is a 2.5-way design housing three drive units. A 1-inch (25mm) textile dome tweeter handles the highest frequencies, while two 5-inch (130mm) advanced polypropylene cone drivers below it share midrange and bass duties. The polypropylene cone material is chosen for its smooth break-up behaviour and consistency from unit to unit, supporting an even tonal balance across the listening window.
Cabinet and Loading
The cabinet is a bass-reflex enclosure with an internal volume of 26.6 litres, providing the back-loading required to extract low-frequency output from the relatively compact 5-inch drivers. Total cabinet height including the plinth measures 975mm, with the speaker standing 320mm deep including its rear terminal and 348mm at its base. The 19.5kg per-speaker mass reflects substantial bracing and panel construction, helping to keep the cabinet inert during playback.
