SVS Ultra Evolution Bookshelf Speaker - Piano Gloss White (Pair)

The SVS Ultra Evolution Bookshelf is the mid-size model in SVS's flagship Ultra Evolution speaker range, sitting above the compact Nano whilst sharing the same acoustic design philosophy and driver material choices. Designed to deliver reference-quality stereo and home cinema performance from a genuinely shelf-friendly enclosure, it combines a larger woofer and deeper bass extension with the precise, high-frequency performance that defines the Ultra Evolution line.

Driver Configuration

A 165mm (6.5") composite glass-fibre woofer handles the midrange and bass. The stiff yet lightweight cone material minimises breakup and colouration at high excursion levels. The cabinet is a rear-ported bass reflex design, with tuning that extends bass response to a measured 40Hz (±3dB) — impressive reach for a bookshelf enclosure of this size. A 25mm (1") aluminium dome tweeter handles the upper frequencies, extending to 40kHz well beyond the limits of human hearing.

Crossover & Connectivity

A crossover at 1,800Hz hands off between the woofer and tweeter. The nominal impedance of 6 ohms and 87dB sensitivity make the Bookshelf compatible with a wide range of stereo amplifiers and AV receivers, with a recommended amplifier output of 20–150 watts. Connections are made via gold-plated 5-way binding posts, accepting bare wire, banana plugs, spade terminals, and pin connectors, with support for bi-wiring and bi-amping. Acoustically transparent neodymium magnetic grilles are included and attach without visible fixings.

Versatile Application

The Ultra Evolution Bookshelf is equally suited to use as a stereo pair in a small or medium-sized room and as front left/right or surround speakers in a home cinema system. The three available finishes — Piano Gloss Black, Piano Gloss White, and Black Oak Veneer — allow integration with a wide range of room aesthetics.
