The SVS Prime Centre Speaker delivers crisp, clear dialogue and precise centre-channel imaging for home theatre systems. Its 3-way design — with dedicated tweeter, midrange, and dual bass drivers — keeps vocal frequencies handled by a dedicated driver, eliminating the colouration that plagues 2-way centre designs.
Two 5.25" polypropylene cone woofers work in tandem to reproduce bass and lower-midrange frequencies, handing off cleanly to a dedicated 3.5" polypropylene midrange at 350Hz. Above 2.4kHz, a 1" aluminium dome tweeter takes over. All crossover slopes are 12dB per octave for a smooth, musically coherent transition between drivers. The result is dialogue and vocals that sound natural and intelligible even at demanding listening levels.
The rear-firing bass reflex port extends low-frequency output down to 48Hz, giving the Prime Centre useful weight in effects and music soundtracks without requiring a separate bass management workaround. Five-way binding posts accept bare wire, spades, or banana plugs — a deliberate choice that prioritises a clean, secure connection over bi-wire flexibility.
