Solid Steel S3-5 Hi-Fi Rack (White)

The Solid Steel S3-5 sits within the S3 reference range — one of the most established and highly regarded rack series in the Solidsteel catalogue. Designed and manufactured in Italy, the S3 series is built around a galvanised steel frame with powder-coated finishing, paired with anodised aluminium support tubes that are internally filled with StratoCell sound-absorbing foam to minimise vibrational energy transfer between shelves.

Construction & Materials

The five MDF shelves are finished in a durable polymer laminate and measure 580 × 430 mm with a 30 mm thickness. Each shelf supports up to 60 kg, comfortably accommodating heavy power amplifiers and turntables. The frame hardware uses galvanised steel treated with zinc to eliminate the risk of rust, while the aluminium tubes are anodised for long-term durability.

Vibration Control

Mechanical grounding is handled by adjustable stainless steel spikes with an M8 thread, allowing precise levelling on any floor surface. Stainless steel floor-protective discs (S Series Pads) are included as standard to prevent damage to hard flooring.

Modularity

The S3 series is fully modular. Shelf heights are adjustable from a minimum of 145 mm to a maximum of 365 mm between levels, with the S3-5 shipping at a default spacing of 205 mm per tier. Additional shelves can be purchased separately, so the rack can grow alongside your system.

Range Context

Within the Solidsteel lineup, the S3 sits above the S2 series (which offers a reduced 50 kg per-shelf capacity) and below the premium HF and HY ranges. The S3 is available in 2, 3, 4, and 5-shelf configurations, with dedicated power amplifier stands also offered in the same finish palette.
