The Solid Steel HP-4 is a four-shelf luxury hi-fi rack from the Italian manufacturer's flagship Hyperspike Prestige series. Designed for high-end two-channel and multi-component systems, the HP-4 combines ceramic shelf technology with a modular stainless steel frame to deliver exceptional vibration isolation and mechanical decoupling for sensitive audio electronics.
Ceramic Shelf Construction
Each shelf comprises a 5 mm ceramic slab mounted on a composite core of medium- to high-density polyurethane foam and wood fibres, enclosed within a 25 mm resin edge. The ceramic surface provides a rigid, acoustically inert platform, while the foam core absorbs residual vibration energy before it can transfer between components. Two ceramic finishes are available: Calacatta White, inspired by Calacatta Gold marble, and Atlantic Black.
Hyperspike Frame & Isolation System
The modular frame is constructed entirely from stainless steel (INOX), liquid-painted in a choice of Brass or Copper finish. Solid stainless steel Hyperspike legs form the structural spine of the rack, with each spike contact point fitted with a 3D-printed rubber isolation disc made from 100% recyclable material. These discs mechanically decouple each shelf level from the frame, preventing vibration transmission between tiers. Additional O-rings at critical junctions provide a secondary isolation layer.
Modular & Expandable Design
The HP series is fully modular: the HP-A amp stand, HP-2, HP-3, and HP-4 share the same shelf and frame components, allowing owners to expand their system as their hi-fi collection grows. The HP-4 configuration provides four shelf levels with clearances of 315 mm (top), 215 mm (middle), and 215 mm (lower), with a 130 mm ground clearance beneath the bottom shelf. The overall footprint measures 660 mm wide by 620 mm deep, with a total height of 995 mm. Each shelf is tested to support up to 120 kg.
Craftsmanship
Every HP series rack is 100% made in Italy. The ceramic shelves are finished with hand-sewn protective pillowcases by GentileCatone, an Italian luxury textile brand, ensuring the ceramic surfaces are protected during shipping and handling.
