Solid Steel HF-2 Hi-Fi Rack (Gloss White)

The Solid Steel HF-2 is a two-shelf hi-fi rack from the Italian manufacturer’s premium HF series — positioned above the S-series reference and entry-level ranges but below the flagship HP ceramic line. The HF series is built around a four-pillar frame made entirely from solid, turned stainless steel (Inox) with a 40 mm diameter, delivering exceptional rigidity and resonance control for sensitive hi-fi electronics.

Construction & Materials

Each of the two shelves is constructed from high-density MDF (CARB 2 compliant) with a refined lacquered finish, measuring 645 × 561 mm and 30 mm thick. The shelves support up to 80 kg each, comfortably accommodating heavy integrated amplifiers and turntables. Shelf height is fully adjustable across a 145–365 mm range, with a 305 mm clearance from the floor to the first shelf, allowing flexibility for components of varying heights.

Vibration Control

The HF-2 sits on Solid Steel’s original Hyperspike feet, designed to reduce vibrations and enhance sonic performance. Rubber O-rings are fitted between the frame and shelves to provide further vibration isolation. Protective stainless steel floor discs are included to prevent damage to flooring surfaces while maintaining the mechanical coupling of the spike system.

Modular Design

The HF series uses a modular frame architecture. Additional shelves can be added to the HF-2 at a later date, allowing the rack to grow alongside a system. The same four-pillar frame underpins the entire range, from the single-shelf HF-A amp stand through to the five-shelf HF-5.
