Roksan's approach with the Attessa 1G CD Transport is straightforward: do one job well. Rather than bundling in a DAC that may duplicate what your amplifier already provides, the Attessa focuses entirely on reading the disc and delivering a clean digital signal. Custom firmware is built specifically for this platform, optimised for Red Book (standard CD) playback from CD and CD-R discs.

Build quality is solid without being ostentatious. The bespoke machined anodised aluminium front panel sits on a formed plated-steel chassis, and at 6.1 kg it has enough heft to feel well-built and stable. Front-panel controls cover the essentials (standby, eject, track skip, play/pause), and an IR (infrared) remote is included for listening-position control.

Where the Attessa becomes particularly compelling is within a wider Roksan system. MaestroUnite technology and Bluetooth Low Energy allow the transport to integrate with Attessa amplifiers for unified app control, device discovery, and firmware updates.
