The QED Connect Phono to Phono Cable sits within QED’s Connect range — an affordable lineup of cables and adaptors designed and engineered in the United Kingdom. This stereo interconnect provides a straightforward connection between any components with RCA phono outputs and inputs, making it suitable for linking turntables to phono stages, CD players to amplifiers, or any source component to a receiver.
Construction
The cable uses 99.99% oxygen-free copper (OFC) conductors, which reduce signal-path resistance and minimise the oxidation that degrades connections over time. High-density polyethylene (HDPE) is used as the dielectric material, chosen for its low dielectric constant which helps preserve signal integrity by reducing capacitive losses between the conductors.
Each end terminates in a pair of custom-moulded, 24K gold-plated phono connectors. The gold plating ensures low contact resistance and long-term corrosion resistance, while the custom-moulded housings incorporate channel identifier markings to simplify left/right connection during setup. The outer jacket is a 4mm outside-diameter PVC construction with a satin black finish, designed to be ultra-flexible for easy routing in tight spaces behind hi-fi furniture.
Packaging
The QED Connect Phono to Phono Cable arrives in minimal, fully biodegradable packaging, reflecting QED’s commitment to reducing environmental impact across their product range.
