5010 Bookshelf Speakers

The 5010 is a compact two-way bookshelf speaker featuring a 110 mm C³ Continuous Curved Cone™ mid/bass driver and a 25 mm hermetically sealed tweeter. The C³ cone profile combines the bass extension of a traditional straight cone with the controlled dispersion of a flared design, resulting in a driver that offers notably low distortion across its operating range. The tweeter is mechanically isolated from the baffle to prevent cabinet vibrations from colouring the high-frequency output.

Internally, the 5010 uses Q Acoustics’ Point-to-Point (P2P™) bracing to stiffen the cabinet and reduce unwanted resonances, while a butyl rubber layer behind the acrylic baffle trim further damps vibration. Each speaker weighs 5.6 kg and measures 264 x 160 x 263 mm (H x W x D).

5090 Centre Speaker

The 5090 centre channel employs a similar driver complement to the 5010 but in a horizontal MTM (mid-tweeter-mid) configuration, with two 110 mm C³ mid/bass drivers flanking a single 25 mm tweeter. This arrangement delivers higher sensitivity (90.5 dB) and greater power handling than a single-driver design, ensuring clear and articulate dialogue reproduction even during demanding film soundtracks. The 5090 shares the same P2P™ bracing and hermetically sealed tweeter technology as the rest of the 5000 Series. It weighs 8.5 kg and measures 164 x 430 x 243 mm (H x W x D).

Q SUB120 Subwoofer

The Q SUB120 is a sealed (infinite baffle) active subwoofer built around a 305 mm (12-inch) long-throw driver. It is powered by a 300 W continuous (600 W peak) Class D amplifier comprising four digital power amplifier stages in a parallel bridge-tied load configuration, achieving a total harmonic distortion figure of just 0.09% at rated power. The sealed enclosure, constructed from 18 mm MDF with a double-thickness 36 mm baffle, provides tight and controlled bass with a frequency response extending down to 28 Hz (-6 dB). A variable low-pass crossover (40–250 Hz), phase inversion switch and delay adjustment allow precise integration with the satellite speakers. The Q SUB120 is capable of a maximum SPL of 114 dB at one metre.
