The KEF Ci160.2CL is a premium rectangular in-ceiling loudspeaker from KEF's acclaimed Ci Series, designed for discreet architectural integration without compromise on sound quality. At its heart is KEF's signature Uni-Q driver array, which positions a 16mm aluminium dome tweeter with tangerine waveguide at the acoustic centre of a 160mm bass/midrange driver. This coaxial arrangement creates a more uniform, wide-dispersion sound field that fills the room evenly, regardless of listening position.
The Ci160.2CL is built to the IP64 standard, making it suitable for use in bathrooms, kitchens, and other areas subject to dust and water splashing. Its rectangular grille and cutout make it a natural choice for drop-ceiling tile environments or wherever a rectangular aperture is preferred over a round one.
A robust ABS enclosure and KEF's gimbal-free mounting bracket allow for easy installation, while the included dog-leg fixing clips secure the speaker to ceilings of between 3mm and 30mm thick. Optional accessories include the RIF160L rough-in frame and the RNC160L rear enclosure, both of which assist with pre-wire installations and improving bass performance in open-ceiling voids respectively.
With a nominal impedance of 8 ohms and a recommended amplifier power range of 10 to 100 watts, the Ci160.2CL is compatible with a wide range of amplifiers and multi-room systems. It is sold as a single speaker.
