The Pro-Ject VT-E Wall Mount Kit is the complete wall-mounting kit for the Pro-Ject VT-E and VT-E BT vertical turntables, supplied separately as a spare or replacement. Both turntables ship with this kit in the box, so it is the part to order if the original has been lost. Fitted in place of the rear support and feet, it lets the turntable hang flat against the wall, reducing its depth from 245mm standing to 130mm wall mounted.
What Is Included
The kit contains the main wall holder, two bottom supports, two M6 nuts, two M6 washers, the M6 x 35 screw for the rear support or main wall holder, and a Pro-Ject Damp IT damping pad. The turntable is mounted through the damping pad rather than directly onto the wall surface.
Fitting the Kit
Installation follows Part 2 of the VT-E user manual. Remove the two M6 screws holding the rear support at the back of the turntable and fit the main wall holder in its place. Unscrew both feet from the bottom of the chassis and screw the bottom supports in where the feet were. Mount the turntable on the wall through the Damp IT pad, then install the platter, drive belt and record clamp as normal. Pro-Ject does not specify the screws that go into the wall itself; the manual recommends using the appropriate type of mounting screw for the wall you are fixing to, so choose fixings suited to plasterboard, brick or masonry as required.
Compatibility
This kit is listed as standard in the box for both the VT-E and the VT-E BT, and the kit contents and fitting procedure in the two user manuals are identical. Both models are offered in right-handed and left-handed versions. Once mounted, the turntable measures 430 x 310 x 130mm (W x H x D).
