The Pro-Ject Tristand is a reissue of a beloved classic from the Pro-Ject range, bringing refined engineering and clean aesthetics to speaker stand design. Built from solid steel, the Tristand is designed to give bookshelf and standmount speakers the stable, acoustically inert platform they need to perform at their best, and is sold as a stereo pair ready to use straight from the box.
Three-Point Isolation
The Tristand takes its name from its distinctive three-point base design. Three height-adjustable steel spike feet support the stand and decouple the speaker from the floor. Spikes reduce the contact area between stand and floor, channelling vibrations away from the speaker and into the ground. The result is a cleaner bass response, better-controlled dynamics, and improved retrieval of fine detail, all of which contribute to a sharper, more precise stereo image. The base plate forms an equilateral triangle with 360 mm side lengths, giving a stable footprint suited to most listening rooms.
Flexible Speaker Placement
The top plate measures 150 x 142 mm and includes adjustable spikes as standard, allowing you to fine-tune the height and angle of the speaker for the optimal listening position. If your speakers have a soft or veneered base, the included microporous rubber pads can be substituted for the spikes, protecting the finish while still providing effective isolation. The top plate height is adjustable, making it straightforward to dial in the sweet spot for your room.
Solid Construction
The Tristand is manufactured in Europe from steel throughout. Each stand weighs 5 kg, giving a solid, resonance-free platform that will not flex or rattle under the weight of a typical bookshelf speaker. The understated black powder-coated finish blends with most Hi-Fi setups, and the clean lines complement a wide range of loudspeaker designs.
