The Pro-Ject Sub Box 50 E is a compact active subwoofer designed to add deep, controlled bass to a hi-fi system or nearfield listening setup. Its modest footprint and clean styling make it equally at home in a dedicated two-channel system or a compact desktop arrangement.
Cabinet and Driver
A 130mm down-firing bass driver delivers low frequencies into the listening space with minimal interaction with the front baffle. The driver is housed in an ultra-stiff, non-resonating MDF cabinet fitted with a metal back plate, keeping unwanted colorations to a minimum and allowing the amplifier and driver to perform to their full potential.
Flexible Connection
The Sub Box 50 E accepts both low-level signals via stereo and mono RCA inputs and high-level signals via speaker binding posts, so it integrates with virtually any amplifier or receiver regardless of whether a dedicated subwoofer output is available. The continuously variable crossover, adjustable between 65Hz and 150Hz, lets you match the roll-off to your main speakers precisely. Three amplifier modes, auto-on, always on and standby, give control over power behaviour, and automatic standby engages after ten minutes without an input signal.
