The Pro-Ject Stereo Box S3 BT is a compact stereo integrated amplifier that proves great sound need not come in a large enclosure. Delivering 2 x 21W into 8 ohms or 2 x 40W into 4 ohms, it has ample power to drive a wide range of loudspeakers while fitting comfortably into even the most space-constrained listening room or desktop setup.
AptX HD Bluetooth for Wireless Listening
At the heart of the Stereo Box S3 BT is a Bluetooth 5.0 receiver supporting the aptX and aptX HD codecs, allowing you to stream music wirelessly from a smartphone, tablet, or laptop in up to 24-bit, 48kHz quality. A motor-driven analogue volume potentiometer lets you adjust levels from your listening chair using the supplied IR remote control.
Versatile Connectivity
Two pairs of gold-plated RCA line inputs accept sources such as a CD player, streamer, or DAC. A 3.5mm variable stereo output at the rear can feed a powered subwoofer or a second zone amplifier, making the Stereo Box S3 BT the centrepiece of a flexible system. Isolated speaker outputs accept 4mm banana plugs, spades, or bare wire.
Rigid Aluminium Casework
The full aluminium and metal casing is not merely cosmetic. The rigid construction shields the circuitry from vibration and unwanted electromagnetic interference, contributing to the low noise floor reflected in a signal-to-noise ratio of 96dB. At just 103 x 37 x 115mm and 450g (excluding the external power supply), the Stereo Box S3 BT slips unobtrusively into any environment.
