The RPM 9 Carbon is a high-end turntable based on the same teardrop chassis as its predecessor, the RPM 9.2 Evolution, with improvements inspired by the flagship RPM 10 Carbon. The CNC-machined MDF plinth is packed with resin-coated steel pellets to form a high-mass sandwich construction, then coated in carbon fibre to minimise resonance. Magnetic feet decouple the plinth from its support surface.
The 7.2 kg polished aluminium platter is internally lined with TPE damping material and topped with vinyl, sitting on a high-quality inverted ceramic main bearing for stable speed with extra-low rumble. The perimeter belt drive mechanism uses a premium motor with automatic 33/45 rpm speed switching and a built-in AC power generator PCB.
Supplied with the 9CC Evolution tonearm pre-installed, featuring a 9-inch conical carbon fibre tube and inverted bearing design for precise tracking. A 5-pin to RCA Connect-IT CC cable and heavy-weight record puck complete the package.
