The EISA Award-winning Pro-Ject RPM 3 Carbon takes the RPM 1 Carbon design and improves on almost every aspect. The 10-inch tonearm is a carbon fibre/aluminium resin construct, more solid and anti-resonant than ever before at this price while maintaining a light weight for improved cartridge tracking. It is supplied with a pre-fitted Ortofon 2M Silver cartridge and magnetic anti-skate mechanism.
The decoupled motor runs off an AC generator powered by an external DC power supply, driving a thick, high-gloss MDF platter topped with melted vinyl for a perfect playback surface. The inverted main bearing uses a ceramic ball mounted on a high-mass base plate for fluid, consistent rotation with minimal rumble.
