Stabilise Your Records
The Pro-Ject Record Puck DS is a premium record weight designed to ensure a secure, firm fit between your vinyl record and the turntable platter. By adding mass to the spindle, it increases coupling between the record and the mat, resulting in improved timing, reduced resonance and greater depth of sound during playback. It is also effective at minimising the effect of slightly warped records, holding the disc flat against the platter surface for more consistent stylus contact.
Double-Sided Design
The "DS" designation stands for double-sided: the puck can be used with either face up, offering flexibility depending on your turntable's spindle height. The inner cavity is precisely machined so that the puck seats squarely on the record without rocking. Before use, always verify that the total spindle height with a record applied does not exceed 10.5mm, as exceeding this limit may cause the puck to bear down on the record label or damage the bearing.
Materials and Finish
Machined from aluminium and finished in a polished silver, the Record Puck DS complements the aesthetic of Pro-Ject's own range of turntables. At 915 grams it is a substantial weight, suited to belt-drive and direct-drive turntables with robust bearings; it is not recommended for lightweight or budget turntables where excess loading may reduce bearing life.
Compatibility
