The Pro-Ject Record Puck Classic is a solid brass record weight designed to improve playback performance on any turntable with a standard spindle. Weighing 800g, it applies firm, even pressure to the vinyl record, coupling it tightly to the platter surface for a more stable, resonance-free playing experience.
How It Works
Record pucks use mass to secure a playing vinyl record against the turntable platter. By holding the two surfaces firmly together, groove tracing accuracy is improved and micro-vibrations are suppressed, resulting in better timing, improved bass definition and greater depth of sound. The Classic is particularly effective on Pro-Ject RPM, Signature and Xtension series turntables.
Classic Design in Solid Brass
The Record Puck Classic follows a traditional, time-tested design: a precision-machined brass disc that sits over the spindle and rests squarely on the record label. The density of brass provides the ideal combination of weight and resonance damping, making it one of the most effective materials for this application. Its compact proportions, 78mm in diameter and 26mm in height, keep it balanced and stable during playback.
Straightforward to Use
Simply place the Record Puck Classic on the spindle after cueing up your record. No clamping mechanism is required, so it works with any turntable that accepts a record weight. Compatible with most belt-drive and direct-drive decks, it is a simple, effective upgrade that works immediately.
