The Pro-Ject Pick it MM 5 Stylus Silver is the factory replacement stylus assembly for the Pick it MM 5 moving-magnet phono cartridge. When your stylus reaches the end of its service life, swapping in a fresh assembly restores the cartridge to full performance without the need to replace the generator or cartridge body.
Nude Elliptical Diamond
The stylus assembly carries a nude elliptical diamond with a tip radius of 8/18 µm. Because the diamond is cut directly from a single piece of crystal rather than bonded to a synthetic shank, the effective tip mass is lower, allowing the stylus to track high-frequency groove modulations with greater accuracy and to recover micro-detail that a bonded stylus would miss.
Silver Finish
The stylus body is finished in silver, making it a straightforward visual match for turntables in silver or brushed-aluminium colourways. The snap-fit housing locates precisely onto the Pick it MM 5 cartridge body; no tools are required for fitting.
Compatibility
This stylus assembly is compatible exclusively with the Pro-Ject Pick it MM 5 cartridge body. It is not compatible with other Pick it MM variants such as the Pick it MM E.
