The Pro-Ject Juke Box S2 is an audiophile all-in-one turntable system that packs a belt-drive turntable, built-in phono stage, and Class D amplifier into a single sleek chassis. Simply add a pair of passive loudspeakers, and you have a complete, high-quality vinyl system ready to play straight out of the box.
Building on the original Juke Box E, the S2 steps up to a 300 mm acrylic platter and the Pro-Ject Pick It 25A moving-magnet cartridge, pre-mounted and factory-aligned. The 8.6" aluminium tonearm features precision sapphire bearings and arrives with tracking force and anti-skating pre-adjusted, so you can be listening to your records within minutes of unpacking.
The integrated amplifier delivers 2 x 50 watts (4 ohm) via Class D circuitry, with enough power to drive most bookshelf and floorstanding loudspeakers. A Bluetooth receiver lets you stream from smartphones and tablets wirelessly. On the rear panel you will find a line input for a CD player or other analogue source, fixed and variable line outputs, a phono output for connecting a separate amplifier, and gold-plated speaker terminals. An illuminated display on the top surface shows source and volume, with a supplied IR remote control for convenient operation.
The chassis is finished in a dark eucalyptus wood veneer, giving the Juke Box S2 a contemporary, furniture-friendly appearance. A low-vibration synchronous motor drives the platter via a silicone belt, and four soft feet decouple the unit from the supporting surface. An optional Juke Box Highpower Supply is available separately, offering up to 50 per cent more peak power output for improved dynamics and bass.
The Pro-Ject Juke Box S2 received the EISA Best Product award for Analogue Music System 2018/2019, with the judging panel describing the sound as "big and addictive, giving LPs old and new a fresh lease of life."
