Design and Build Quality
The Signature Headshell Carbon is crafted from carbon fibre, finished in a natural carbon weave. At 10 g, it offers a well-balanced mass that suits a broad range of cartridges. The low-resonance, high-rigidity construction minimises colouration, while the non-magnetic design ensures no interference with the delicate electromagnetic signals produced by your stylus.
Cartridge Compatibility
Fitting all tonearms equipped with the industry-standard SME mounting connection, the Signature Headshell accepts any standard 1/2 inch cartridge. High-conductivity OFC (oxygen-free copper) headshell cables are included, contributing to low signal loss between cartridge and tonearm. An azimuth adjustment screw on the side allows precise alignment of the cartridge for optimum channel balance and tracking.
Practical Features
A built-in fingerlift makes handling and cartridge swapping straightforward. Because each headshell material carries its own sonic character, swapping headshells is a practical way to explore different sound signatures or to accommodate a collection of cartridges set up for different musical styles or record types.
