The Pro-Ject Headshell PRO Carbon is a precision-engineered headshell featuring a carbon fibre body, designed to fit any tonearm using the industry-standard SME connector. At just 12.5 g, the carbon construction delivers excellent rigidity with a lower mass than a conventional aluminium shell, making it particularly well suited to moving-coil cartridges that benefit from a little extra tonearm effective mass, as well as high-compliance moving-magnet designs that demand a lighter, more neutral platform.
Colour-coded OFC (oxygen-free copper) headshell leads are included, ensuring a clean, low-resistance signal path from cartridge to tonearm. An azimuth adjustment screw on the side of the shell allows fine alignment of the cartridge, while the built-in fingerlift makes effortless cueing. The non-magnetic construction eliminates interference with delicate cartridge cantilever assemblies, and the low-resonance, high-rigidity carbon fibre body keeps unwanted vibration from colouring the sound.
