Carbon Fibre Meets High-Mass Isolation
The Pro-Ject Ground it Carbon is the flagship isolation platform in the Ground it range, distinguished by its carbon fibre top layer applied over the piano lacquer finish. This combination delivers exceptional rigidity and resonance rejection, making it the ideal foundation for Pro-Ject's most capable high-end turntables. Like the Deluxe models it uses a heavy-weight base filled with granular damping material, but the Carbon takes vibration isolation a significant step further.
Magnetic Decoupling on All Four Feet
The Ground it Carbon is fitted with four magnetic decoupling feet, which float the platform on a controlled magnetic field to reject low-frequency mechanical vibrations from the floor and supporting furniture. This active decoupling, combined with the mass and granular damping of the platform itself, produces an isolation system capable of serving even the most resolving turntable installations. Measuring 500 x 400 mm and weighing 14.5 kg, the Ground it Carbon is suitable for all high-end turntables, particularly larger models such as the Xtension 9, 10 and 12, and the Signature 10. It is also delivered as standard with the RPM 10 Carbon turntable.
Clearly Noticeable Sound Improvement
Pro-Ject describes the sonic effect of the Ground it Carbon as clearly noticeable. In practice, the platform transforms the performance of the turntables it supports. Background noise drops to a very low level, bass becomes tight and tuneful, stereo imaging gains precision and depth, and the overall presentation takes on a greater sense of ease and authority. The charcoal piano lacquer with carbon overlay is a visual match for Pro-Ject's premium turntable range.
