The Pro-Ject E1 BT sits at the entry point of Pro-Ject's E-Line range, which is designed to bring hand-crafted European turntable engineering within reach of first-time buyers, returning vinyl enthusiasts, and anyone who wants a genuinely musical record player without complexity. The E1 BT adds Bluetooth 5.2 wireless transmission to the already-capable E1 platform, making it possible to stream directly to wireless speakers, headphones or a Bluetooth amplifier while retaining a full analogue output path for wired connection.
Design and Build
The plinth is CNC-machined from composite fibre and finished in high gloss black, giving it a clean, purposeful appearance. Pro-Ject's engineers have filled all internal cavities to eliminate resonance within the chassis. Four vibration-absorbing feet decouple the deck from the surface beneath it. The transparent acrylic dust cover features adjustable hinges that allow it to sit open without fouling tonearm movement during play.
Tonearm and Cartridge
The 8.6-inch aluminium tonearm has been reworked with a new headshell and is pre-fitted with the Audio-Technica AT 3600 L moving magnet cartridge, pre-adjusted for tracking force and anti-skating at the factory. This Plug and Play approach means the E1 BT is ready to use straight from the box without any specialist setup knowledge. The combination of the low-mass arm and the AT 3600 L is optimised to draw the best performance from the cartridge across a wide range of pressings.
Built-in Phono Stage and Bluetooth
A switchable phono preamplifier is built in, so the E1 BT connects directly to any amplifier or active speaker with a standard line-level input. When the phono stage is bypassed, the deck feeds a pure phono-level signal to an external stage for those who prefer to use their own. The Bluetooth transmitter uses version 5.2 and supports both aptX HD and aptX Adaptive codecs, enabling robust, high-resolution wireless audio streaming to compatible devices.
Platter and Drive
An anti-resonant ABS polymer main platter is reinforced with purpose-designed ridges to provide a stable, inert platform for the record. Drive is by silicon belt from an electronically controlled motor, with electronic speed change between 33 and 45 rpm. A felt mat is included. The whole assembly is completed with a gold-plated phono cable (1.23 m) and a 7-inch single adapter.
Also Available
The E1 BT is also available in Satin White and Walnut finish.
