The Pro-Ject Damp it is a set of four anti-vibration isolation feet designed to reduce the transmission of structure-borne vibration to and from sensitive audio equipment. By decoupling a component from its supporting surface, Damp it helps preserve the performance of turntables, disc players, tube amplifiers, and bookshelf speakers by eliminating a common but often overlooked source of sonic degradation.
How It Works
Each foot is made from high-tech synthetic rubber engineered to absorb a wide frequency range, from infrasonic frequencies up to 500 Hz. The material acts in a similar manner to an electronic subsonic filter, effectively blocking structure-borne sound without introducing the drawbacks associated with active filtering. The feet are placed directly under a component's existing feet or beneath bookshelf speakers, and work best in direct contact with the equipment with no other materials between them.
Practical and Versatile
Damp it shares its core isolation principle with Pro-Ject's premium Absorb it feet, but is offered at a significantly lower price point by using a rubber construction rather than a high-grade aluminium housing. Each foot can support up to 5 kg, giving a combined maximum load capacity of 20 kg when all four are used together. This makes Damp it suitable for a broad range of hi-fi components with three or four feet, including high-mass units.
Please note: Damp it may interact with certain surface materials and could mark or discolour surfaces on direct contact. Pro-Ject Audio Systems accepts no liability for damage or staining caused by use of the product.
