The Pro-Ject Connect it Power 18V is a high-conductivity power interconnect cable designed for use with Pro-Ject Power Box accessories and compatible Box Design components. It replaces the standard power connections supplied with Power Box units, and this 0.82m version is the shortest length Pro-Ject offers, suited to a Power Box and the component it feeds sitting on the same shelf or immediately above one another.
Compatibility
This 18V variant uses 2.5mm DC barrel connectors at both ends. Pro-Ject lists it for the Accu Box S2, Power Box S3 Phono, Power Box DS/DS2/DS3 Sources and the MaiA DS, and it connects any Pro-Ject product with an 18V DC input. That covers a large part of the Box Design range, including the DAC Box E, DAC Box S2 Phono, Head Box S, Phono Box, Phono Box S2, Tube Box S2, Phono Box DS2 and Pre Box DS2. Products drawing 15V, 20V or 24V take the 2.1mm version instead, so check the DC input rating on the component before ordering.
Construction
The cable is a high-conductivity design with improved shielding, magnetically shielded for an optimal connection. Pro-Ject states that the resulting optimised power transmission allows an ultimate level of audiophile performance to be reached. Offering the cable in individual lengths also avoids the cable clutter that comes from using one standard length throughout a system.
