The Connect it Phono DS 5P/RCA is a dedicated tonearm cable designed to extract the finest detail from your turntable. Connecting a 5-pin DIN tonearm socket directly to your phono stage via RCA plugs, it forms an ideal single-cable solution for decks fitted with the increasingly popular 5-pin DIN output, eliminating one set of connections and any signal loss that comes with them.
Pro-Ject's DS (Dual Silver) line uses a 99.99% OFC copper conductor to carry the delicate phono-level signal, with all connectors silver-plated for high conductivity and low contact resistance. Silver oxide, should it form over time, is equally conductive, so the connection remains reliable long term. Shielding is provided by a helical OFC copper braid combined with a carbon-saturated conductive sub-jacket, giving thorough EMI rejection whilst keeping the cable flexible and easy to dress behind a rack. The outer jacket is a thermoplastic elastomer for durability and neat cable management.
At 1.23 metres the cable suits most turntable setups without excess slack, and the low 90 pF capacitance ensures it works correctly with moving-magnet and moving-coil cartridges without loading the delicate phono signal.
