The Pro-Ject Connect it Line S RCA is part of Pro-Ject's Connect it S cable range, positioned as the mid-tier analogue interconnect in their line-up. Designed to pair with Pro-Ject's own turntables, amplifiers and other hi-fi separates, it delivers a clean, open signal path between line-level sources such as CD players, streamers and integrated amplifiers.
Construction centres on a flexible oxygen-free copper (OFC) conductor, which keeps cable capacitance low at 100pF (measured at 1.23m). Low capacitance is particularly important for analogue interconnects, as high capacitance can roll off high-frequency detail and colour the sound. The dielectric is flexible polyethylene, and the outer jacket is a thermoplastic elastomer for durability and a premium feel in the hand.
The RCA plugs are gold-plated phosphor-bronze, chosen for lasting conductivity and resistance to oxidation. The Line S RCA is a semi-symmetrical cable: the shielding is connected at one end only, which reduces ground-loop interference. The blue-marked end should be connected to the receiving component or central grounding point.
