Debut Carbon EVO is the heart of the system and Pro-Ject's best-selling turntable design, substantially improved across every aspect of the platform. It uses the proven 8.6'' one-piece Carbon tonearm, selected because its super-stiff, lightweight construction provides exceptional resonance control and precise stylus tracking. The included Ortofon 2M Red moving-magnet cartridge completes an arm-cartridge pairing that delivers a convincingly wide sound stage and impressive bass response for its price class. Electronic speed change between 33 and 45 rpm is built in, with a 78 rpm setting available via the included round belt.
MaiA S3 is a compact, low-noise micro hi-fi amplifier with integrated streaming. It delivers 2x 23W into 8 ohms (or 40W into 4 ohms), sufficient to drive the bundled speakers with authority at real-world listening levels. Built-in aptX Bluetooth enables wireless streaming from a phone, tablet, or computer. A 6.3mm headphone output is included, as are outputs for a subwoofer and a second power amplifier. The included remote control provides convenient day-to-day operation.
Speaker Box 5 S2 is a compact two-way bookshelf speaker featuring a 25mm silk dome tweeter for detailed high frequencies and a 130mm fiberglass cone driver for full-bodied midrange and tight bass. The walnut real-wood veneer cabinets are manufactured entirely in Europe from high-quality materials. Black speaker grilles are included.
System Accessories
The package also includes a 2x 3m run of Pro-Ject LS E speaker cable and a set of special rubber damping feet. The damping feet isolate the Speaker Box 5 S2 speakers from the turntable when they share the same surface, a practical solution for rooms where everything sits together on a shelf or sideboard.
Connectivity and Compatibility
Beyond vinyl, the MaiA S3 accepts additional sources via its line-level inputs, so a CD player, television, or streaming device can be connected alongside the turntable.
