Pro-Ject 125g Counterweight for the RPM 3 Carbon Tonearm
This 125g counterweight (model 083) is the original-specification counterweight designed for use with the Pro-Ject RPM 3 Carbon tonearm. It threads directly onto the rear of the tonearm tube, allowing precise adjustment of stylus tracking force and tonearm balance.
The counterweight is essential to correct tonearm setup. By sliding it along the threaded post and rotating it, the user can set the tonearm to a neutral balance position before dialling in the recommended tracking force for their chosen cartridge. The 125g mass is matched to the effective mass of the RPM 3 Carbon arm and suits a wide range of MM and MC cartridges with typical compliance values.

Designed specifically for the Pro-Ject RPM 3 Carbon turntable tonearm. If your original counterweight is damaged or lost, or if you wish to use a cartridge that requires a different tracking-force range, this is the correct factory-specification replacement.
Setup Notes
When fitting, thread the counterweight fully onto the arm stub, then rotate the outer ring to zero on the tracking-force scale before balancing the arm horizontally. Adjust tracking force by rotating the outer ring to the cartridge manufacturer's recommended value.
