The Pro-Ject Felt Mat is a 12 inch (300mm) replacement slipmat for turntables fitted with a full-size 12 inch platter. Made from high-quality felt and finished in classic black, it sits between the record and the platter to provide a stable, low-friction surface during playback.
Why a felt mat?
Felt is the traditional choice of slipmat material. It cushions the record against the platter, helping to protect vinyl from surface marks, and it builds up far less static than a rubber mat. Felt mats are also light enough that they do not significantly alter the platter's rotational mass, so they will not change the speed stability of a properly set up turntable.
Full-size 12 inch fit
This mat is sized to suit 12 inch turntable platters, making it the right replacement for larger Pro-Ject decks fitted with a full-size platter, rather than the smaller Debut-series mat. If you are unsure of your platter size, measure the diameter or check your turntable manual before ordering.
Choose your colour
Pro-Ject offers this slipmat in a choice of five colours: black, blue, green, red and yellow. Black is the most traditional choice and disappears visually against a dark platter, while the brighter shades let you personalise the look of your turntable. All five share the same dimensions and felt construction; only the colour differs.
