Description

The Paradigm Seismic 110 occupies the mid-tier of Paradigm's Seismic subwoofer range, sitting above the entry-level Seismic 8 and below the flagship Seismic 12. It is a sealed, self-amplified subwoofer designed to deliver deep, controlled bass for both music and home cinema applications, with a focus on compact dimensions and precise integration. It carries Anthem Room Correction (ARC) compatibility for use within Anthem-based systems.

Driver Design

At its core is a 254mm (10") mineral-filled polypropylene cone driver operating in a sealed enclosure. The cone is driven by a split dual voice-coil arrangement — two 38mm voice coils wound on a single former, each seated in a separate magnetic gap and supported by dual Nomex spiders. This construction distributes the driving force symmetrically across the cone to maximise linear excursion whilst reducing distortion at the extremes of driver travel.

Amplifier

Power is provided by Paradigm's patented Ultra-Class-D amplifier, mounted internally. Ultra-Class-D is Paradigm's proprietary switching amplifier topology, designed to achieve high efficiency without the thermal output-stage losses typical of Class AB designs. The amplifier includes soft clipping and thermal protection circuits. Trigger and auto-on/off functions are provided for system integration.

Connectivity & Control

Inputs are via stereo RCA phono or balanced XLR, with input impedances of 10k ohms (RCA) and 20k ohms (XLR). The continuously variable low-pass filter covers 35–150 Hz, with a bypass position for use downstream of a pre-pro's bass management. Phase is continuously adjustable from 0° to 180°. A USB port is included for PC-based subwoofer configuration.
