The Ortofon Stylus Concorde Music Bronze is the replacement stylus for the Concorde Music Bronze cartridge and the second-from-top tier of the Concorde Music range. Sitting above the Blue and Red styli and below the Black, it pairs a nude Fine Line diamond with an aluminium cantilever for an audibly more detailed and refined presentation than the elliptical-tipped models lower in the range. The same stylus also fits any Concorde Music cartridge body, so it can be used to step a Red or Blue body up to Bronze-grade performance.
Nude Fine Line Stylus
The Fine Line profile presents a longer, narrower contact line to the groove wall than an elliptical stylus, so it reads more of the modulated groove information and recovers more high-frequency detail. Mounting the diamond as a nude (unbacked) chip rather than bonding it to a metal shank reduces tip mass, which improves transient response and helps the stylus track high-amplitude passages cleanly at the recommended 1.8 g.
Concorde Music Range
The Concorde Music series is Ortofon's iconic integrated DJ-style cartridge family, redesigned for hi-fi listening. All four styli (Red, Blue, Bronze, Black) share the same body interface, so an existing Concorde Music owner can switch between tonal characters and stylus profiles without changing the cartridge. The Bronze is positioned as the warmer, more musical option in the upper tier; the Black sits above it with a Shibata profile for the most analytical retrieval.
Compatibility and Fitment
The stylus assembly slides on and off the Concorde Music body in the usual Ortofon fashion. No tools, no alignment hardware, and no realignment of tracking force or anti-skate beyond the manufacturer's standard 1.8 g recommendation are required. Recommended load is 47 kΩ with 150 to 300 pF capacitance, in line with the rest of the Concorde Music range.
