The Meters Novu-1 sits at the entry point of the Meters by Ashdown headphone range, offering studio-grade monitoring performance at a fraction of the cost of the brand's flagship OV-1-B Connect models. Where those higher-end headphones feature active noise cancellation and working VU meters, the Novu-1 strips things back to a purely passive, wired design focused on accurate sound reproduction for mixing, mastering and critical listening.

Driver Technology

At the heart of the Novu-1 are custom-designed 50mm dynamic drivers engineered to deliver an accurate response across the full audio spectrum. The closed-back cup design provides passive isolation from ambient noise, keeping external sound out and preventing audio leakage during studio sessions. With an impedance of 64Ω and sensitivity of 104dB SPL/V at 1kHz, the Novu-1 is easy to drive from portable devices, laptops and professional mixing desks alike.

Build & Comfort

The headband and ear cushions use a fabric-padded construction, with the ear pads designed to be easily replaceable when they wear out. At just 235g, the Novu-1 is light enough for extended monitoring sessions without fatigue. Each earcup features the signature Meters VU meter graphic, a nod to the working VU meters found on the brand's premium models.

Connectivity

The Novu-1 uses a detachable 3m cable terminated with a gold-plated 3.5mm stereo mini-plug. A threaded 6.3mm adapter is included for connecting to mixing desks, headphone amplifiers and other professional equipment. The detachable cable design means a replacement can be fitted if the original is damaged, extending the headphone's working life.
