The Loewe klang sub1 sits within Loewe’s klang audio range as the brand’s compact wireless subwoofer, designed to upgrade any compatible television to a 2.1 sound system. Where Loewe’s larger sub5 targets dedicated home cinema setups, the klang sub1 is engineered for living rooms where space is at a premium and a discreet footprint matters.

Driver Configuration & Enclosure

Inside the sealed-box enclosure, the klang sub1 uses two active 4-inch woofers paired with four passive 4-inch radiators arranged in a hexagonal, point-symmetrical layout. This six-driver geometry balances the moving masses against each other, cancelling out mechanical vibration and oscillation at the cabinet walls. The result is bass output that stays clean and controlled without transmitting unwanted resonance into the floor or furniture beneath it.

Amplification

An 80-watt Class D amplifier drives the two active woofers, delivering a total music power of 160 watts across a frequency response of 40–100 Hz. The Class D topology keeps heat generation low, which in turn allows the compact sealed enclosure to remain small without requiring ventilation ports.

Design & Materials

The 360-degree cylindrical design is finished with a painted acrylic glass plate on top and special acoustic fabric around the perimeter, giving the klang sub1 an appearance closer to a piece of furniture than a conventional subwoofer. At just 287 mm in diameter and 158 mm tall, weighing 4.6 kg, it can be placed alongside or beneath furniture without dominating the room.

Wireless Connectivity

The klang sub1 connects wirelessly via Bluetooth with Qualcomm aptX Low Latency, providing high-quality, latency-free signal transmission that keeps audio synchronised with the on-screen picture. It pairs with Loewe televisions from the SL3 series onwards and We. SEE TV models through a simple plug-and-play setup requiring just a single menu setting. Third-party televisions with a variable audio line-out can also be connected.
