The Loewe Klang S3 is the larger of two models in Loewe’s Klang S smart radio series, sitting above the compact Klang S1. Designed in Germany, it combines an internet radio, DAB+ tuner, FM receiver, CD player and streaming system in a single unit, delivering 120 watts of total music power through front-facing stereo speakers in a bass reflex enclosure.
Design
The Klang S3 features straight lines and a slim silhouette with brushed aluminium casework, available in Basalt Grey or Light Grey. The acoustic fabric front grille is developed by Loewe specifically for the Klang range. The unit has won both the Red Dot Design Award and the iF Design Award.
Audio & Radio
A latest-generation DAB+ tuner provides access to digital radio alongside FM. Internet radio opens up thousands of stations worldwide. The Class D amplification delivers 120 watts total through the integrated stereo speaker system, with a frequency response of 50–20,000 Hz.
CD Player
The built-in slot-loading CD drive supports CD-DA, CD-R, CD-RW and MP3 CD formats, providing playback of physical media alongside streaming sources.
Streaming & Connectivity
Wi-Fi connectivity enables access to Spotify Connect, Deezer and Amazon Music, while Bluetooth 4.2 with A2DP and AVRCP profiles allows wireless streaming from any compatible device. A USB input is also provided for direct media playback.
Control
The Klang S3 can be operated via its 3.2-inch colour display, the Loewe Radio app for iOS and Android, or the included remote control.
