The Loewe Klang MR5 sits at the top of Loewe’s Klang multiroom speaker range, above the smaller MR1 and MR3 models. Where the MR1 serves as a compact desk or bedside speaker and the MR3 covers mid-sized rooms, the MR5 is engineered for larger living spaces, delivering 90W of amplification from its Class D power stage.
Construction & Design
The MR5 uses a distinctive conical form factor wrapped in custom acoustic fabric with a triangular glass top panel. The glass surface houses integrated touch controls and an illuminated LED status indicator. Five programmable favourite buttons on the touch panel provide quick access to preferred stations and playlists. A remote control is included for operation from across the room. The sealed-box enclosure design provides controlled bass extension down to 35 Hz.
Connectivity & Streaming
Network connectivity is handled via both Wi-Fi and Ethernet, with Bluetooth for direct device pairing and AirPlay 2 for Apple ecosystem integration. The MR5 uses DTS Play-Fi as its multiroom platform, supporting synchronised playback across up to 32 speakers in up to four independent spatial audio zones. A 3.5mm auxiliary input accommodates wired analogue sources.
The Klang Multiroom Range
The Klang MR series comprises three speakers — MR1, MR3, and MR5 — all sharing the same conical design language and DTS Play-Fi multiroom architecture. The range is complemented by the Klang Sub1 wireless subwoofer, the Klang Bar i and Bar3 MR soundbars, and the Multi.Room Amp for driving passive speakers within the same ecosystem.
