The Loewe Inspire 48 DR+ is a 48-inch OLED television combining German-engineered design with a comprehensive built-in recording system. Part of the Inspire DR+ range, it runs Loewe os8 — built on the Vidaa platform — on a new MTK-based processor with dedicated GPU, delivering fast, fluid navigation across native streaming apps and live TV. The Inspire DR+ sits above the standard Inspire in the Loewe range, adding integrated 1TB hard drive recording capability to the same premium cabinet and connectivity specification.
Recording and Smart TV
The DR+ designation refers to Loewe's integrated digital recording system. A fully featured triple tuner — DVB-T2, DVB-C, and DVB-S2 HD — is built in alongside a 1TB hard drive, enabling timeshift, scheduled recording, and simultaneous playback of a different source while recording runs in the background. The tuner includes a 5V aerial antenna power supply for directly powered aerials. An electronic programme guide (EPG) and HbbTV media libraries are included. Native streaming apps cover Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Prime, Disney+, Apple TV+, Rakuten, Deezer, Paramount+, HD+, Zattoo, FIFA+, and more.
Display and Picture Quality
The 48-inch OLED panel delivers self-emissive pixel-level contrast with support for HDR10, HDR10+, HLG, Dolby Vision, and WCG (Wide Colour Gamut). Loewe os8 handles upscaling and picture processing to maximise the panel's capabilities across broadcast and streaming content.
Gaming
Two of the HDMI inputs are HDMI 2.1, supporting Ultra HD resolution at 120Hz with Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) and Variable Refresh Rate (VRR). CEC and HDCP are also supported across these ports. This makes the Inspire DR+ a capable gaming display for current-generation consoles operating at maximum frame rates.
Audio
The Inspire DR+ features a modular audio architecture developed in-house at Loewe. Dolby Atmos sound processing is applied throughout. In its standard form — Loewe invisible sound — the cabinet has a pure monitor appearance with no visible speaker elements. The system can be upgraded by attaching the optional Loewe klang bar i, which adds 80 watts of total music power with wide stereo staging and dedicated speech clarity tuning.
Connectivity
Wireless connectivity includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Apple AirPlay, Miracast, and DTS Play-Fi for multi-room audio integration and smart home compatibility. Control4 and Crestron home automation protocols are supported. Wired connectivity comprises a LAN port, two USB 3.0 ports, and audio outputs. The set is compatible with the full Loewe ecosystem including the Loewe klang bar range for expanded audio.
Design and Build
The Inspire DR+ is manufactured in Germany. Its cabinet features hidden rear connections behind detachable magnetic covers, integrated cable tunnels for full cable management, and a basalt grey spray-painted rear with partial fabric covering. The rotatable stand routes all cables internally so nothing is visible from the sides or front. Optional wall-mount and stand accessories are available to integrate the set into different room configurations.
