The Loewe Inspire 55 DR+ sits at the heart of Loewe's current OLED television range, positioned between the more compact 48-inch model and the larger 65-inch and flagship 77-inch variants. It succeeds the Loewe Bild i series, adding full HDMI 2.1 support with 4K at 120 Hz variable refresh rate — a significant upgrade for gaming that the previous generation lacked. Designed and manufactured in Germany, the Inspire DR+ combines Loewe's established approach to build quality and industrial design with a thoroughly modern feature set.
Display and Picture Quality
At its core is a 55-inch 4K UHD OLED panel delivering the deep blacks, wide viewing angles, and per-pixel contrast control that the technology is known for. HDR content is handled through Dolby Vision, ensuring compatible films and series are displayed with the metadata-driven precision that the format provides. The panel is driven by a high-performance MTK processor and GPU, which also underpins the Loewe OS8 smart platform.
Integrated Recording and Timeshift
The DR+ designation refers to Loewe's integrated digital recording system. A 1 TB hard drive is built into the television, working alongside a fully featured triple tuner (DVB-T2, DVB-C, and DVB-S2 HD with 5V aerial power supply) to deliver recording and timeshift functionality without any external hardware. Live television can be paused and rewound, DVB channels can be recorded in the background while streaming content plays on screen, and recordings can be scheduled while the viewer is away. An electronic programme guide (EPG) and HbbTV media library access complete the PVR experience.
Smart Platform and Streaming
Loewe OS8, based on the Vidaa platform, provides a responsive smart TV experience with native apps for Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, Apple TV+, Paramount+, Rakuten, Deezer, HD+, Zattoo, and FIFA+. Miracast screen mirroring and Apple AirPlay are built in, allowing content to be cast directly from phones, tablets, and laptops.
Gaming Performance
Two HDMI 2.1 inputs support 4K resolution at 120 Hz with Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) and Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), making the Inspire DR+ well suited to current-generation gaming consoles. HDCP and CEC are supported across all HDMI ports.
Audio and Expandability
The built-in speaker system delivers 2 x 20W (sine) or 2 x 40W (music power) with Dolby Atmos and DTS-HD decoding. Loewe's modular audio philosophy means the television can also be used with its invisible speaker configuration for a clean monitor look, or paired with the Loewe Klang Bar i soundbar for an 80W stereo sound stage with enhanced speech intelligibility. DTS Play-Fi multiroom support allows the Inspire to participate in a whole-home audio system.
Connectivity
Wireless connectivity includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Miracast, Apple AirPlay, and DTS Play-Fi. Wired connections comprise two USB 3.0 ports for media playback or recording to external storage, a LAN Ethernet port, and audio outputs for external amplification.
Design and Build
The Inspire DR+ is designed and built in Germany. Cable management is addressed through internal cable tunnels and detachable magnetic rear covers that conceal all connections. The rear cabinet is finished in basalt grey with a combination of spray-painted and fabric-covered surfaces. The included rotatable stand features fully concealed cable routing, and optional floor stands, wall mounts, and floor-to-ceiling mounts are available separately.
