KEF T105 Home Cinema System

The KEF T105 is a complete 5.1 home cinema speaker system from the T Series — KEF's ultra-slim architectural range designed to deliver serious surround sound without dominating the room. The system pairs four T101 satellite speakers and a T101C centre channel with the T2 powered subwoofer, covering the full frequency spectrum from 30 Hz to 30 kHz in a package that virtually disappears against a wall or on a shelf.

T101 & T101C Satellite Speakers

At just 35 mm deep, the T101 satellites are among the slimmest home cinema speakers available. Each cabinet houses a two-way closed-box design with a 115 mm dual-layer mid/bass driver and a 25 mm aluminium dome tweeter, crossing over at 1.7 kHz. Sensitivity is rated at 90 dB when wall-mounted (87 dB in a bookshelf position), and the 8-ohm nominal impedance makes them an easy load for any AV receiver rated between 10 and 100 watts per channel. Maximum SPL reaches 107 dB — more than enough for dynamic film soundtracks in a typical living room. The T101C centre channel shares the same driver complement and depth, oriented horizontally to sit neatly below a wall-mounted display.

T2 Powered Subwoofer

The T2 subwoofer completes the system with a 250 mm (10 in.) driver powered by a built-in 250-watt Class-D amplifier. Its closed-box enclosure reaches down to 30 Hz and delivers a maximum SPL of 110 dB. At 380 × 370 × 177 mm and 13 kg, the T2 is roughly half the depth of a conventional subwoofer of equivalent driver size, allowing it to be placed against a wall or tucked into a media unit without compromising low-frequency extension.

Installation Flexibility

Every speaker in the T105 system is designed for wall mounting, with integrated keyhole slots on the rear panels. The satellites can also be placed on shelves or paired with optional KEF T-Stand floor stands for freestanding use. The slim profile and uniform black finish allow the system to blend with flat-panel televisions and contemporary interiors, making it suited to rooms where visible speaker enclosures would be impractical.
